Phase 8: Review

A regular review of policy helps to ensure that relevant and effective policies are retained, policy gaps are identified and redundant policy is eliminated. During review, the policy intent and implementation are revisited and the effectiveness of the policy’s deployment and any unexpected outcomes are considered. The review acts as a link forward to the first phase of the cycle, Establish Need.

Actions

 

1.  Monitor legislative change

2. Minor Amendments can be approved by the Responsible Officer.

3. Monitor feedback from staff and students.

4. PMU will advise the policy Contact Officer of upcoming review dates for policy.

5. Periodic Review of the policy content, communication, implementation and effectiveness must occur every 3 years, unless otherwise stated in the policy document.

 

Deliverables

 

five  Minor amendments approved by the Responsible Officer.

  • Email to PMU from the office of the Responsible Officer advising of approval of any minor amendments. Refer to the Policy Review guideline.

five  Policy review assigned and evaluation of policy implementation conducted every three years (or as specified in the policy).
