Document Templates for Policy, Procedures and Guidelines
 

Templates for Policy, Procedures and Guidelines have been developed to assist document creators during the drafting phase and establish standard document presentation for UNSW. Contact the Policy Management Unit for assistance when using the templates.



The template for drafting policy is available in two formats:

Policy Template - contains explanatory detail to help you draft your policy.

Policy Template (headings only) policy template without explanatory detail- if you are already familiar with our policy template, this version does not contain the explanatory detail.

The Policy Template must be used for policy which requires the approval of Council, or which requires approval by the Delegate listed in Section 4.2.2 of the Register of Delegations (the Vice-Chancellor).


 


The Procedure Template must be used for procedures which require the approval of one of the Delegates listed in Section 4.2.3 of the Register of Delegations (the Vice-Chancellor; a Deputy Vice-Chancellor; the Executive Director Finance and Operations; the Executive Director University Services; Pro-Vice-Chancellor) or one of their Nominees.

 


The Guideline Template may be used to provide further information for matters which are the subject of Legislation, Policy, Procedure or a decision by an appropriate delegate.

Protocol template
This Protocol Template Protocol template may be used by a Faculty, School or Unit for documents which apply only to that Faculty, School or Unit.
